Barry Douglas is a classical pianist with years of experiences travelling around the world, performing with the Halle, the London Symphony and many more. He and his son Liam Douglas, a rock star in his own right - doing studio session and playing lead guitar in Becky and The Keys , chat about life as a musician, sharing stories of the ups and downs of being a performer, from life on the road, bad gigs and even a few good stories.

The Brief

Podcasting is a great way to give your fans a behind the scenes look at what makes you tick, and this podcast was an amazing opportunity to do just that with two music legends. They wanted to connect with their fans and tell stories of how music has been woven through their lives.

Our Approach

We knew that there were some amazing stories here that needed to be told and had initial conversations to see where themes were appearing and how we could bring these together in a series of episodes that each focuses on one aspect of this musical family’s story. We then recorded conversations, released fortnightly, around each of these to bring their memories to life for their fans.

The Result

With over 2.5k downloads over the course of the whole series, this podcast really connected with music fans, as well as capturing stories that are timeless to new listeners.
