The Dulux Academy Podcast: Life as a Decorator
The Brief
The Dulux Academy supports decorators, from those starting out in their careers to decorators with many years of experience with support to help them reach their personal and professional ambitions. They wanted to find a way to support their decorators at a time of uncertainty and provide some ideas around how to adapt to ‘the new normal.’
Our Approach
We worked with Tony Pearson-Young, himself a decorator with many years experience and now working with The Dulux Academy, to host this podcast. With guests who were also themselves professional decorators, we created insights into the industry and a community feel that matched that of The Dulux Academy itself.
The Result
This was a fantastic project that had some great feedback from listeners who praised its honesty and openness on subjects that faced the industry during lockdown but weren’t necessarily highlighted as they should be. It spoke directly to their core audience – ‘great podcast if you’re in the trade’ – and received great feedback for their brand – ‘good for Dulux to do this podcast.’
